Our Story

How it all started...

Christian Church at Rome started in the early 1960's as West Rome Christian Church in the home of Fred and Dorothy Sanders along with their daughter and son in law, Nona and Charles Wynn.  Soon they were meeting in the clubhouse in the Garden Lakes Commumity.  In 1968 the congregation broke ground on its current location on Shorter Avenue and in 1970 the sanctuary was completed. CCAR continues to serve The Lord and our community and is committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Rome, Floyd County and all over the world.

Expanding the vision...

We are committed to actively engaging with and serving our community. Whether through outreach programs, partnerships with local organizations, or acts of kindness, we aim to be a tangible expression of God's love in the world, meeting both the spiritual and practical needs of those around us.

Where we are headed...

As we look to the future of our community, Christian Church at Rome envisions a dynamic and thriving environment where every individual is empowered to flourish spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Our church is committed to playing an integral role in shaping the future.
Christian Church at Rome seeks to be a catalyst for positive change and transformation in our community. We believe that by working together with compassion, humility, and a shared vision for the future, we can build a community where all individuals have the opportunity to thrive and flourish.
